The Respect Life Committee of St. Margaret of Scotland Parish promotes the Catholic Church’s teaching on the dignity and sacredness of human life through parish activities and information about Archdiocesan approved programs and action items.
As of February 2012 we have also been tasked with addressing the issue of religious liberty in regards to governmental intrusion into our religious rights.
The Respect Life Committee promotes the Catholic Church’s Magisterial teachings on respect for and legal protection of innocent human life from inception to natural death by practicing prayer, enabling educational programs and advocating actions.
includes the issues of abortion, embryonic stem cell research, cloning, euthanasia and eugenics.
Through prayer, education and engagement in the "public square" St. Margaret of Scotland Parish would become ever more aware of, and active in, the promotion of dignity of life issues and the exercise of religious liberty.
We welcome attendance at our monthly meetings and encourage people to bring ideas of how to spread the message and work on projects already underway.
We meet on the third Sunday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Church Hall.
