PTA (St. Margaret of Scotland Parent/Teacher Association) The PTA is an organization made up of parents and staff who work together to foster parent involvement in the school community.
The PTA encourages communication among parents, teachers and administrators to improve the quality of our children’s education and to promote a strong Christian community.
What We Do
We organize and run several events throughout the year. The goal of our fundraisers is to raise money to help fund the events, capital improvements for the school and special programs.
The PTA donates funds to offset cost of a bus for the 6th grade trip, 8th Grade Dinner/Dance, the School Library, the End-of-Year Picnic and a bi-yearly donation to the School Auction.
The PTA is fully funding the difference between the cost of the SMOS yearbook and the sale of yearbook ads.
Who We Are
Parents/Guardians of students of the school, members of the faculty and clergy of the Parish who have committed to a minimum 2-year term.
The PTA meets once a month to review past events, upcoming events and a round table discussion of how our organization is doing and what we can do better.
Board meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. One Open General Meeting is scheduled each fall.
