The School Board of the St. Margaret of Scotland Parish School works to advise and assist the principal and the pastor regarding policies and budget.
The school board also works with the pastor on the appointment of the principal for the school.
Membership consists of nine members, and two-thirds of the members must be registered members of the St. Margaret of Scotland Parish. The selection of members for the school board occurs each spring.
Ex-officio members of the school board include the pastor, principal, and president of the St. Margaret of Scotland Parent Teacher Association.
The board meets monthly, except in July.
The School Board works to foster an environment consistent with the mission of the school. St. Margaret of Scotland Parish School is a diverse, urban, vibrant and inclusive Catholic community, committed to providing an outstanding learning environment for children, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, in which students are challenged to meet their academic potential and recognize their giftedness in body, mind and spirit.
Our students embody the example of our patron saint by becoming responsible leaders and caretakers of our community through works of service and social justice.
