Fr. Tom Wyrsch, Pastor
Fr. Tom Wyrsch has been pastor of St. Margaret's since July 2005. He is very happy to be with this talented, dedicated community, in the heart of the city he loves. Fr. Tom was born in 1952, raised in St. Pius V Parish and attended grade school there. He attended high school, college, and graduate seminary in the St. Louis Archdiocesan system (Prep South, Cardinal Glennon College, Kenrick Seminary) and holds a B.A. in Philosophy and a Master of Divinity degree. He has also studied art at Fontbonne and painting at the Art Institute of Chicago, and maintains a painting studio in South St. Louis. He is a member of the local art coalition, Art St. Louis. He enjoys winter sports, has played guitar and saxophone most of his life, and enjoys classical music (for prayer and study) and jazz (for painting and meals), and classic or indie rock for everything else.

"I have learned that a collaborative style of leadership is the only kind that is truly effective today; and as a person, I strive to maintain a 'growing edge' toward excellence in many things. I find both of these to be very consistent with the St. Margaret of Scotland community. I feel we have a special opportunity to grow together as a community of excellence and service, and I invite all in the community, or those who are partners or just visiting, to join in this spirit."
