Altar Servers, the Liturgical Ministers who assist our celebrants at St. Margaret of Scotland, are a very important part of Mass, helping each liturgy flow smoothly to ensure a more reverent worship experience for our parish community.

The duties of an Altar Server are varied, but their primary responsibility is to assist the Priest during our weekly Eucharistic Liturgies (Sunday Mass). Altar Servers may also assist during weddings, funerals, and other special Liturgies.

Altar Servers must be in the 5th grade or up and have made their First Holy Communion (Sacrament of Eucharist). Altar Servers go through a training program to learn about their role and to gain a deeper knowledge of the Eucharist and Mass.
