This 2025 Lenten season, Assisi House was selected as a partner for our St. Margaret of Scotland Parish Lenten Project, and they couldn’t be more grateful! Assisi House Board President, Lisa Cagle, and Executive Director, Megan Armentrout-Steward were honored to attend Sunday Mass during Lent and speak about the mission and impact of Assisi House. Thanks to SMOS, they’ve welcomed new volunteers, received generous donations, and are excited to build on this growing partnership.

They received over $10,000 from 20 new SMOS donors and A LOT of toilet paper from the school!

SMOS School participated in the Lenten Project with a toilet paper drive and toilet paper structure contest that brought both fun and generosity to Assisi House. Who knew community building could come with three SUV loads of toilet paper?

The result? A mountain of essential supplies — thank you to the SMOS community for rolling with Assisi House this Lenten season!
