SMOS Day of Service

Saturday, April 22, 2023 @ 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
School – 3964 Castleman Ave., Saint Louis, 63110

Please join us for the First Annual SMOS Day of Service – sponsored by the PTA Facilities Committee!  School Families and also Parishioners are encouraged to join us.

We are very excited for this day of community and are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our Parish and School, following the Lenten season and the celebration of Easter.  The selection of Earth Day was intentional to reflect on the beauty of God’s creation – and how we can prioritize taking care of this gift.  We also value a good party and look forward to the social aspect of the day (and especially the food trucks and camaraderie).

Click on the signup link below to register for the specific activities you wish to volunteer for that day.  Also, you can RSVP for the food truck after-party at the link as well.

Volunteer shifts will roughly begin in the morning, but might be sprinkled throughout the day.  Anyone who would like is welcome to join us at the end of the day for 4:30pm Mass.  The social component of the Day of Service will immediately follow after Mass around 5:30pm for those that wish to join for some fun! (Please RSVP for the after-party at the signup link below.)

While in general, we are looking for 2-4 hours of volunteer time, we understand weekend schedules get crazy – and any help is appreciated.  You can indicate any time constraints on the signup.   Also note, we will sign off on volunteer hours for some of our high-school-aged Dragons.

All volunteers must have completed Protecting God’s Children.  SMOS has a planned session coming up on March 24th – more information here:  PGC Workshop.

And finally – if you are excited about this day but are unable to attend – you are welcome to donate via the WeShare link below, and we will put these funds towards supplies for the day or future facility upgrades.
