Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School

by Patrick Holley, Principal

~ We are fully back into the swing of things with our first full week of school after the inclement weather last week. January can be an incredibly busy month as we prepare for Catholic Schools Week, open house, and registration all coming up by the end of the month. There is a lot of preparation that takes place, but I am very lucky to have a great team who truly believes in the mission of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic School. I pray that God blesses them and all those who help our school.

This month we are honoring Elizabeth Ann Seton as our Saint of the Month. Elizabeth Ann Seton has a fascinating life and a truly inspiring conversation story. She is a great Saint for the month of January as she opened the first Catholic girl’s school and founded the first congregation of religious sisters in America. She was the first American-born saint canonized. I pray for Mother Seton’s intercession as we continue her tradition of excellent Catholic Education.

Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
