Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School
~ As you may be aware, the St. Margaret of Scotland School community lost one of its members recently. Our Coordinator of Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity, Mr. Corey Shorter, passed away last week. While I will remember Mr. Shorter as an excellent educator and a champion for our students, I will remember him most as my friend.
I would like to pass some information forward about the services for Mr.
Shorter. The visitation and funeral will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Disciples of Christ Church in Overland. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am immediately following the visitation. St. Margaret of Scotland School will not be in session that day so that students, parents, faculty, and staff can attend the services. Please continue to pray for Mr. Shorter’s family and our school community.
