Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School

by Patrick Holley, Principal

~ On Saturday, October 18, St. Margaret of Scotland students will be participating in our annual ‘SMOS Walk-A-Thon’.  In past years, the ‘Walk-A-Thon’ was a part of our annual school budget.  This year, we transitioned this event to be a yearly fundraiser to benefit our Mandeville Multicultural Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in the 1980s by Sister John Mandeville and is specifically set aside for non-Catholic, minority families interested in attending St. Margaret’s School.

This fund is wholly unique to St. Margaret of Scotland and our sacred mission of ensuring that a Catholic education at SMOS is available to all.  In Jesus’s great commissioning to the Apostles, he tells us to make disciples of ‘All’ nations.  The Mandeville Fund is one way that we can support this mission.

If you are interested in donating to the Mandeville Multicultural Scholarship Fund for this year’s Walk-A-Thon, please contact the school office or go to bit.ly/smoswalkathon2025 (see QR code in bulletin flyer).

Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
