Congratulations to the members of the SMOS Math Club who participated at the Math League state meet on May 4th at Columbia, MOl!
Over 200 kids representing 62 different regional schools across the state competed. Our ‘Math Dragons’ once again competed incredibly well doing SMOS and themselves – most importantly – proud!
A ‘Shout-Out!’ to Dragons: Luke Bauer, Francesca Gerard, Elliot Mork, and Will Kelsey for all their team and individual work. A special ‘Shout-Out!’ to Victor Garcia who will represent SMOS in the National competition on June 15th in Houston, TX.
Special thanks to Coach Jay Gerard for starting the Math Club last year & successfully growing the love of Math for our SMOS students through fun & engaging activities.
