Registration is now open for the after-school SMOS Chess Club for the Fall of 2025! Lessons are available for grades 2nd-8th and will meet once a week at SMOS. Sessions will be taught by a member of the St. Louis Chess Club. Days have been assigned based on instructor availability and responses to the previously submitted interest form. If the day available for your child does not work, please reach out, and it will be determined if there is space in another session.
Mondays, 3:00-4:00pm – 4th & 5th grades ($100 – 10 sessions)
Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00pm – 2nd & 3rd grades ($100 – 10 sessions)
Fridays, 3:00-4:00pm – 6th-8th grades ($90 – 9 sessions)
Classes will run the week of Sept. 15th through the week of Dec. 8th. Due to the varying days off in the Fall semester, each group’s pricing will be a little different, but will be between 9 and 10 sessions – $90 and $100. A follow-up email will be sent within a couple of weeks confirming your child’s spot and payment information. If all spots are full, your child will be added to the waitlist.
In order to be compliant with Protecting God’s Children, a parent volunteer is needed to attend each session. A sign-up sheet will be sent out once registration is complete.
