Dear School Families:
Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year! I hope that you all had a great summer!
Welcome to our new students and families! Welcome to our new Coordinator of Religious Education, Mrs. Mary Kay McVey, and to all our new teachers and staff! I am confident that you will find St. Margaret to be a warm and welcoming community. Welcome back to all our returning families, students, teachers, and staff who make St. Margaret of Scotland such a wonderful place to learn and grow in the love of Jesus!
The start of the school year brings many emotions – excitement and anxiety for our students, and gratitude and relief for many parents. This year, we are also experiencing sadness and grief as we mourn the recent death of Corey Shorter, a beloved faculty member and our Coordinator of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity. As we remember and pray for Mr. Shorter and his family, we renew our efforts to welcome every child and to promote the values that he embodied for us. May Mr. Shorter rest in peace and rise in glory!
Mr. Holley and Mrs. Villmer are great leaders for our school community, and they have my full trust and support. If I can be of any assistance to you on your journey of faith, please be in touch. Axel and I look forward to seeing all of you at school, at Church, and around the neighborhood! I am especially looking forward to celebrating the start of this new year with all of you at our Annual Mass in the Grass and Picnic in the Park, at 10:00am on Sunday, September 8, at the Stone Shelter in Tower Grove Park. Know of my prayers for a great school year!
Fr. John Vien
