SMOS @ Shaw Art Fair 2025

What’s often considered to be one of the best weekends in the Shaw Neighborhood – the first weekend in October sees the annual return of the Shaw Art Fair (and the Missouri Market at MOBot), to make for what many consider to be the quintessential Fall weekend in St. Louis City. You won’t want to miss it – be sure to stop by the Shaw Art Fair on October 4 & 5 – where a selection of St. Margaret’s students will have their art on display at the Fair. The Shaw Art Fair runs both Saturday from 9am-5pm, and Sunday from 10am-5pm along Flora Place & Tower Grove Avenue, just east of the Missouri Botanical Garden. $8 weekend passes. $10 at-the-gate. Valid both days. Children age 14 & under free with adult. At-the-gate ticket $1 off with canned food donation. The SMOS exhibition is part of The Schools Exhibit, Art Activity and Demonstration Area, which is located west of Klemm at booth numbers 49 & 78 – center of 4200 block of Flora Place.

Every year, St. Margaret’s students have an opportunity to participate in an art project run by SMOS Art Teacher, Sara Loser, through a program called Square One Art. For this year’s project, the students once again did an amazing job! Once their projects were completed, a selection committee comprised of Fr. John, Msgr. Mike, Mrs. Villmer, and Mr. Holley, reviewed all of the artwork and selected three pieces of art from each classroom – for a total of 63 portraits which will hang at the Shaw Art Fair.

So without further ado… here are the names of students whose art has been chosen for display at the Shaw Art Fair this year. Congratulations!!
