Catechesis of the Good Shepherd In Action
This year, St. Margaret of Scotland School opened a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium for our preschool students. While the students in Ms. Dicker’s Montessori class were familiar with this type of instruction, it was new to most of our preschoolers. They embraced it immediately, and the atrium became a room where each child knew they could come to talk to God. Some of the highlights included the Altar I lesson, the raised surface map and regions puzzle map, processions to mark the start of a new liturgical season or feast, and passing around the prayer cross as we prayed together.
