Grateful & Generous

St. Margaret of Scotland is launching its “Grateful and Generous” Stewardship initiative.

A Message From Our Pastor

Dear Parish Family of St. Margaret of Scotland,

What an honor it is to serve as the Pastor of this historic and vibrant parish! I am grateful to God and to all of you for the wonderful ways our parish family comes together to worship on Sundays, celebrate the Sacraments, educate and form our children and young people, build our community, serve the poor and those in need, advocate for justice, and evangelize our neighborhood and community. Yes, here at St. Margaret, we love God and one another!

Now I am asking you to prayerfully consider how you can respond to the call to live and

share God’s love by making a renewed commitment to financially support our parish through our “Grateful & Generous” increased offertory campaign. With your help, we will continue to support the mission of Christ and the Church by loving and serving as Missionary Disciples.

In Evangelii Gaudium, (The Joy of the Gospel), Pope Francis reminds us that “No single act of love for God will be lost, no generous effort is meaningless, no painful endurance is wasted. All of these encircle our world like a vital force” (279).  Friends, every small act of kindness, every prayer offered, every dollar contributed will take root and bring about a great harvest for God and our community.

Thank you for making an increased offertory pledge and for all you do for St. Margaret of Scotland!

Gratefully yours in Christ,

Rev. John Rogers Vien
Pastor
