I am thrilled to start my fifth year at St. Margaret of Scotland this year! In 2001 I received my Masters in Social Work from Washington University. During my career as a social worker, I had the opportunity to work with families and children of all ages. After several years of working at an insurance company, I decided I missed working with children and families. I went back to school and received my MAT in 2014 from Lindenwood.
I am excited to continue teaching fifth grade at SMOS this year and watch my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. In my classroom, I emphasize both academics and kindness towards each other. Fifth grade is such a wonderful, exciting year, and I love watching the students gain confidence in themselves, mature, and ultimately prepare for the independence of middle school. I am very happy to be part of the SMOS community and am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
