I have been teaching preschool for 10 years and hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Missouri, St Louis. I began my teaching career in the St. Louis Public School District at Wilkinson Early Childhood Center. I taught Early Childhood Special Education for seven years, during which time I piloted the district’s first Reverse Mainstream classroom. I then took time out from teaching to stay at home with my 2 children until they reached school age. At which point I went back to teaching part-time at St. Lucas UCC Preschool where I taught for 3 years. Last year I became a part of the SMOS community as a Theme-Based Preschool Teacher. This year, I’ll be moving up to 1st grade and look forward to this new challenge!
