St. Margaret of Scotland has been a cornerstone of the Catholic faith in the Shaw neighborhood of South St. Louis, MO since 1899. The SMOS Living Justice Ministries, in keeping with the parish mission, is dedicated to imbuing the parish – individuals and organizations – with an awareness of what it means to live just lives, and to encourage each – personally and collectively – to work towards a more just society to benefit the parish, our city and the greater community. The five teams that make up the LJM are: Care For Creation (environment), Gun Sense: For the Common Good (gun violence prevention), Immigration, Pride of St. Margaret (LGBTQ+ rights), and Racial Equity.
