Building Bridges In A Divided Church

Building Bridges In A Divided Church

Saturday, December 6 @ 8:00 am – 11:30 am
School-Faith Hall-Cafeteria (300)
3964 Castleman Ave., Saint Louis, 63110, United States

We live in a moment marked by deep polarization—felt not only in our country and our world, but within the Church itself. Conversations that once seemed simple now feel charged; genuine dialogue feels impossible.

Yet the Church is meant to be a living witness to the unity God desires for all people in Christ, a communion and community that transcends differences, honors our different stories, and draws us into Christ’s own life and love.

But how do we make that dream of unity a reality? How do we move beyond polarization?

That’s what this morning of reflection on December 6 is supposed to help us begin to do. We will explore how Christians are called to move beyond the fractures and divisions of our age and participate in Christ’s work in the world. We are not meant to be a scattered group of people, but one family of God gathered together by the Holy Spirit.

Together we’ll reflect on the spiritual and practical ways we can build bridges, foster understanding, and remember that, despite our disagreements, we remain one Body in Christ.

Come on December 6 and be renewed in hope. Schedule and details below.

Speakers include: Fr. Patrick Baikauskas, OP, Dr. Amelia Blanton-Hibner (Dean of Mission Integration at Visitation Academy), and Br. Dominick Jean, OP
