Thanksgiving Food Collection 2025

Sponsored by SMOS St. Vincent de Paul Society

It’s that time of year again! As we approach the season of giving thanks, we are reminded of the importance of community and giving back. The St. Margaret of Scotland (SMOS) St. Vincent de Paul Society is proud to announce the launch of the annual Thanksgiving Food Collection for 2025. With your help, we aim to support our neighbors in need and ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving meal.

This year, we are collecting small cans of yams for the Isaiah 58 Ministries food pantry. Our goal is to gather 350 cans to help provide a warm, festive meal for those who might otherwise go without.

How to contribute:

  • Bring your small cans of yams to Mass on the weekends of November 2nd and 9th.
  • Place them in the collection bins located in the vestibule of the Church.
  • Donations must be received before noon on Monday, November 10th.

Every can makes a difference! Smaller-sized cans are preferred as they are better suited for clients’ needs. Your participation is greatly appreciated and will directly impact families and individuals in our community.

Let’s come together this Thanksgiving to share our blessings and show gratitude. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps spread love and warmth to those who need it most. Thank you in advance for your support, and let’s make this Thanksgiving a truly special one for everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving from the SMOS St. Vincent de Paul Society!
