Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School

by Patrick Holley, Principal

~ This month, St. Margaret of Scotland CRE – Mary Kay McVey – along with help from our Student Diversity Council, put together our “ofrenda” in the school cafeteria.  This is the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos – where people place pictures of deceased loved ones on an altar as a way to honor family members and special people who have passed away.  This is a great way to celebrate the month of November as we pray for all of the faithful departed.

I would also like to plug our upcoming Saint Margaret Holiday Market.  This event is in the school gym and supports the SMOS Dragon Library.  Our library program is completely volunteer-operated and relies on this fundraiser to continue to operate. Tickets for the event and a list of vendors can be found on the SMOS website.

Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
