Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School
~ Today marks the Second Sunday of Advent, a time when we begin a new liturgical year and renew our hope in Christ’s coming. It is a wonderful season to be in our Catholic schools. Our students are hard at work preparing their hearts for the coming of Jesus by making Advent wreaths, joining in Advent prayer services, and engaging in meaningful acts of service.
This year’s school-wide Advent service project will involve creating an Advent Giving Tree. Students are invited to bring in winter items (hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, etc.) and hang them on the tree. These donations will be given to local immigrant and refugee families who are unaccustomed to the cold St. Louis winter. If you would like to participate, please drop off any new or gently used winter clothing items at the school office.
Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
