There are no African American saints, but that soon could change. A new documentary A Place at the Table: African Americans on the Path to Sainthood (2022), explores the heroic, holy lives of six Black women and men who witnessed to their Catholic faith in extraordinary ways.

Join us as we celebrate Black Catholic History Month and explore their lives with the viewing of this inspiring film on Saturday November 4 at 5:30pm in the St. Margaret of Scotland parish hall. Pizza, salad, and drinks will be provided. Bring a cushion or blanket to make yourself cozy for this 2-hour film. We will provide an optional opportunity for informal conversation after the film. Please RSVP to Mimi at mimi.n.m@gmail.com to help us know how much food to provide. This event is sponsored by the Racial Equity Team of SMOS Living Justice Ministries.
