The SMOS Gun Sense: For the Common Good task force is hosting a one-night Call To Action event in May.
If you’re a School Parent or Parishioner that is ready to say #ENOUGH to the public health crisis of gun violence in our schools, our neighborhoods, and our City – then attend this event to learn what you can start doing about it!
In this one-hour session, you will:
- Get a quick and dirty education on the epidemic of gun violence and why the need is so great.
- Update yourself on the current gun laws in the State of MO and the status of prevention efforts already underway.
- Hear a first-hand survivor story from a SMOS parishioner.
- Walk away with simple and quick actionable steps you can take to assist in this effort.
The best recourse we have against the pervasive culture of violence we live in, is uniting in ONE VOICE – to make ourselves heard and work together to stand up for our kids and future generations. Every voice counts and adds to the volume – so please attend!
Babysitting will be provided in the Church Hall (we’ll be showing a movie for the kids) and 8th graders have volunteered during the event.
Doors open at 6:45pm. Presentation from 7-8pm, with reception afterward in Church Hall for all until 8:30pm.
Please arrive promptly, as we want to start on time to be mindful of everyone’s busy schedules. Thank you!
