Congratulations, Amira!

Amira Subasic (the wonderful and much-loved maintenance person at St. Margaret of Scotland) has become a United States Citizen.  After years of living in the U.S. and working towards this goal, it happened!  She passed all the required tests – so now it is time to celebrate!  

On September 18th, the parish office had a small luncheon to honor her achievement, complete with Amira’s favorite foods (from Favazza’s no less!); and then in the afternoon, the school students gathered on the playground to cheer for Amira as she left for the day, presenting her with cards and posters they made. 

This is something most of us have always taken for granted, so it is nice to be reminded that this is TRULY a big deal!
