This Advent and Christmas season the SMOS Youth Ministry group has decided to sponsor a refugee family in need of some extra love and support!
Recently, several of our teens journeyed to the border, where they witnessed firsthand the challenges and struggles faced by refugees. Our youth group was deeply moved by the realities faced by many individuals and families forced to leave their homes and all they have in search of safety and a better life. These eye-opening experiences have ignited a passion within our group to make a meaningful difference.
Our decision to support a refugee family stems from the values of solidarity, compassion, and hospitality that are at the core of our Catholic faith. By sponsoring a refugee family for Christmas, we aim to not only meet their material needs but also to convey a message of hope, acceptance, and belonging.
As we enter the Advent Season, we invite the SMOS Youth Group and their families to join us in making a difference. Your support will help us create a Christmas filled with blessings for our sponsored refugee family.
