Weekly News From St. Margaret of Scotland School

by Patrick Holley, Principal

~ Thank God for cooler weather.  Last week was our first ‘normal’ week of school as we finished up with back to school nights and introductory activities, and the true learning began.  It has been wonderful to walk the halls and interact with teachers and students.

This past week was ‘SMART Week’.  Be SMART is a nationally recognized Gun Safety program for parents and families, and St. Margaret’s is the first Be SMART School in the St. Louis area.  The school worked in conjunction with our Gun Sense Ministry to bring in programming, an assembly, and a prayer service, all focused on Gun Safety in our community.  I want to thank our Gun Sense ministry and the SMOS student council for planning, organizing, and implementing the programming this week.

Know that I appreciate all your support for the school.  I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day holiday weekend.

Throughout the school year, we present an article in the bulletin each week providing updates from St. Margaret’s School, written by a member of our school staff.
