Mrs. Chrostoski and Ms. Betsey are so excited for another year of music, learning and joy!

VIOLIN CLASSES WILL START THE WEEK OF AUGUST 21. 

Violin Sizing

Before classes start, please take your child to the strings shop to be evaluated for the next size and to make sure they have any needed supplies (rosin, shoulder rest, etc.). Sometimes the children are ready for the next size and sometimes they need to wait a little longer–the staff at the shop will be able to help assist. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Betsey.

Schedule

Please see the attached calendar for concert dates. In addition to the SMOS concerts, Grades 3-5 will attend Link Up with the SLSO and Grades 6-8 will participate in the Six Flags Music in the Parks Festival in May.

We are also delighted to announce that we are able to have violin classes for PreK-Grade 5 during the school day this year! Classes will be held twice a week on Tues/Thurs for 25-30 minutes per class. Students will not miss any core academic time.

Grades 6-8 will meet on Thursdays from 3p-4p. 

Snacks

For after-school classes, a small snack will be available for the children. Please let Ms. Betsey know if your child has any dietary restrictions.

Concert Attire

This may change, but as of now PreK-5th grade can wear what they like (no costumes or pajamas please). Middle School will need concert black: black top and black bottoms. 

Tuition

Invoices will be sent out this week and will be due by September 1. 

T-Shirts

If you do not have a violin T-shirt and would like to order one, they are available for $5 each. T-shirts are not required for performances.
