Ladies Auxiliary

Ladies Auxiliary is a diverse organization which includes all sorts of parishioners.  Some women are retired, but most of us are still working in positions that cover everything from nurses, teachers, a judge, to accountants, lawyers, businesswomen.   Moreover, while Ladies Auxiliary doesn’t have many women who have children in grade school, we do have all sorts of other women – moms with older children at home; with adult children; with adult children with their own children; with college-aged children; women with no children; and women with and without spouses.  In other words, we have many different types of women.

Ladies Auxiliary also combines fundraising (the yearly raffle) with service, activities, parties, and spending money on various Church and School needs.

Finally beyond the funerals, the fundraising, we have speakers, plan the Christmas Bazaar and do other activities.  And talk.  And eat.  And network. And make friends.  Our regular third Monday of the month meetings include a short business meeting with all these activities following.  Generally, meetings last about 90 minutes.

LAUX Membership

The Ladies Auxiliary organization provides an opportunity for the women of St. Margaret of Scotland Church and School to socialize and attend informational presentations in order to support the parish and school through service and funding. The Auxiliary provides and serves funeral lunches for the families and friends of deceased parishioners.

Our organization has monthly evening meetings followed by time for socializing. We have two potluck dinners each year, in September and May. In December, we have a Christmas party and dinner at a local restaurant and invite the school and parish staff to attend. All women are invited to join the Ladies Auxiliary!
