Sacristans

Sacristans are the Liturgical Ministers who assist with preparations for Mass and other celebrations at Church. These preparations take place in the Sacristy, from which this ministry gets its name. A sacristy is a room for keeping vestments (such as the alb and chasuble) and other church furnishings, sacred vessels, and parish records. The sacristry is located on the left side of the altar.

Most frequently, our Sacristans help prepare for our weekly celebration of the Eucharist. They also assist in preparations for other liturgical or sacramental rites, like the Sacrament of Baptism during or after the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass.

We currently have three parish families who regularly serve as Sacristans to assist the Pastor and guest Presiders with preparations of the sacred vessels and offertory gifts (bread and wine). If you would like to assist our Sacristans on an as-needed basis, please contact one of the Sacristans listed.
