Stewardship

A steward is defined as a disciple of Jesus who “receives God’s gifts gratefully, cultivates them responsibly, shares them lovingly in justice with others and returns them with increase to the Lord.”
1992 U.S. Bishops’ Pastoral Letter

The St. Margaret of Scotland Stewardship Committee works to increase awareness of the many ministries of the Parish and encourages the participation of time, talent, and treasure for the betterment of the parish as a whole.

What is Stewardship?

The Archdiocese of St. Louis says while some think stewardship is all about money, service or environment, stewardship is actually “a multi-faceted concept that addresses all aspects of our faith and spirituality.” Archdiocese Stewardship Page

Stewardship includes the aforementioned time, talent and treasure, in addition to gratitude, giving back, spending time with God and more.

The Stewardship committee heads up the annual Archdiocesan Stewardship program for Stewardship Sunday and initiates activities and information on stewardship throughout the year.

We are currently seeking a steward to head up this committee! Please contact the rectory for more information.
