Seventh Grade Homeroom and Math

Karen Kuppinger

Seventh grade homeroom; 7th grade religion, 6th and 7th grade math, 9th grade Algebra

I am currently in my 21st year of teaching at St. Margaret of Scotland School as a 7th Grade homeroom teacher.  The subjects I have taught at St. Margaret’s during those years include 7th Grade Religion; 6th and 7th Grade Literature; Discovery Skills; 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Math and 8th Grade Algebra: and SMART Christian Service.  My current teaching assignment includes 6th and 7th Grade Math, 8th Grade Algebra I and my 7th grade homeroom Religion.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryville College.  It was comprised of a double major in elementary education and math and a double minor in secondary education and theology.  I have continued to expand my education in the area of theology by taking various Paul VI classes based on my personal interest in my Catholic faith.

My life away from school revolves around my faith, family and friends.  I share my main ministry, aside from teaching at a Catholic School, with my husband presenting weekends for Worldwide Marriage Encounter.  My personal interests include music, theater, sports, game nights with family and friends, nature, animals, and a life of true simplicity.  My personal heroes include St. Francis of Assisi, Pope St. John Paul II, St. Teresa of Calcutta and Pope Francis.
