Parish ministries are all those ways we give our time and talent to the greater glory of God in social and service settings. We have a variety of ways to get involved.
The Parish Council works to see that the parish fulfills the mission of St. Margaret of Scotland Church–a diverse, urban Catholic parish.
The Finance Committee advises and assists the pastor in the financial administration of the parish.
Physical Plant Committee
The Physical Plant Committee assists and advises the Pastor in the oversight of the physical facilities of the Parish.
Respect Life Committee
The Respect Life Committee promotes the Catholic Church’s Magisterial teachings on respect for and legal protection of innocent human life.
Living Justice Committee
The Living Justice Ministry is dedicated to imbuing the parish with an awareness of what it means to live just lives, encouraging everyone to work toward a more just society.
The St. Margaret of Scotland Athletic Association coordinates athletic programs offered through the St. Margaret of Scotland Parish and School.
St. Margaret of Scotland Girl Scouts provides opportunities for girls to learn and grow through service projects, badge work, camping, and council activities.
The Scouting Program at SMOS provides educational programs that build character, teach participatory citizenship and develop personal fitness for boys grades K-8.
The Health Ministry, led by the Parish Nurse, is called upon to bring wholeness to God’s people by praying, teaching and healing in His name.
Our music ministry plans, prepares, and leads the musical aspect of our liturgical celebration and strives to utilize the special musical gifts and talents of our parish community.
Ladies Auxiliary combines fundraising and fellowship with service, activities, parties, and supporting Church and School needs with funds.
The Welcoming Committee reaches out to new parishioners and families to welcome them to their new home and to offer a smooth transition to St. Margaret of Scotland.
The St. Margaret of Scotland Stewardship Committee works to increase awareness of the many ministries of the Parish and encourages participation through time, talent, and treasure.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Margaret of Scotland ministry of the St. Vincent DePaul Society provides physical and spiritual assistance to our less fortunate neighbors within our parish boundaries.
St. Louis Counseling
Saint Louis Counseling is a non-profit, professional counseling agency that provides services within the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Sunday Fellowship is a ministry for members of the St. Margaret of Scotland parish to connect, converse and socialize after mass.
St. Margaret of Scotland Youth Ministry seeks to give our young parishioners a place to deepen their faith through fellowship, service projects, liturgies, and other events.
Young Adults & Professionals
St. Margaret Young Adults & Professionals are young people in the parish, post-college to young families, who wish to grow together in fellowship, faith, and service.
