Congratulations to the SMOS Music Ministry – a 2024 Honoree of the Aquinas Institute of Theology Great Preacher Award!
Congratulations, SMOS Music Ministry!
Thank you for your generous support of our “Grateful & Generous” Program! Several weeks ago, we began this important parish-wide program and we are starting to see signs that our offertory collections are growing through the generosity of YOU, our faithful parish community. In a few weeks, we will be publishing in the bulletin a report with important highlights from our program. Thank you so very much to all who participated. Your generosity shows your willingness as faithful stewards to be a part of the ongoing missions of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church.
All parish families are receiving copies of our Stewardship Report and a brochure and commitment card for our Increased Offertory Program. Follow the link below for details and digital versions of these materials.

The St. Margaret of Scotland Living Justice Ministry has assembled a Parish task force to work on Gun Sense: For the Common Good. This faith-based initiative will address the issues of gun violence in our neighborhoods and our City, State, and Country – both from a systemic and an advocacy standpoint.
If YOU would like to get involved and learn more about how to support this effort, then check out the Gun Sense info via the link below and sign up to receive further updates. Together in one voice, we can say “ENOUGH!”.
Gun Sense: For the Common Good
We are a diverse, urban, Catholic parish. Inspired by the Holy Spirit and the example of our patroness, we are called to be a vibrant voice and beacon of the Catholic faith in our neighborhoods.
We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and action by:
Fr. John Rogers Vien has served as Pastor of St. Margaret of Scotland since 2021. He has been a priest in the Archdiocese of St. Louis for over 30 years.
Fr. John writes a weekly article in the Parish bulletin called “A New Week”, in which he highlights various things going on around the Parish, focuses attention on a social justice or ecumenical topic, and challenges all of us to become better disciples of Christ in our daily lives.
Besides presiding at Mass or around the Church and Rectory, you will most likely find Fr. John out walking the neighborhood with his dog, Axel.
